About the role

  • This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
  • We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
  • The base location for this role is Greggs House Ideally, you’ll live within one hour travel of this area

What you'll do

  • Negotiate commercial and contractual terms for food ingredients.
  • Conduct key research, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure value for money is achieved.
  • Develop key relationships with suppliers to ensure Greggs requirements are clearly communicated and achieved.
  • Manage and resolve day-to-day issues with suppliers with speed and professionalism.
  • Support the Purchasing Managers in sourcing ingredients and packaging for Development activities.
  • Ensure all procurement activities align with Greggs' ethical Policies and continuous improvement goals.
  • Communicate effectively with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of Pledge initiatives and the development of resilient supply chains.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
  • Support stock management and operational issue resolution.

About you

  • Have experience of, and the ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities calmly and at pace

  • Have advanced Excel/IT skills to support with analysis and the ability to work with large data sets

  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience of analysing information and issues to identify current and potential problems and develop and implement workable solutions

  • Able to engage and work collaboratively with other teams to make improvements to processes and influence stakeholders at all levels
