About the role
- This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) however flexibility in this will be considered
- This is a temporary role for 12 months
- We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
- The base location for this role is Greggs House (Q9), Quorum Business Park, Longbenton, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE12 8BU
What you'll do
As Cash Team Administrator you’ll:
Be responsible for the accurate and timely recording of the shop cash position across our estate of almost 2,000 shops
Perform regular bank reconciliations, to match and compare financial transactions recorded in our SAP accounting system with corresponding entries in bank statements for shop cash / card payments, cash banking and change deliveries
Post weekly corrective journals into the SAP accounting system to clear control accounts, ensuring minimal errors.
Investigate and report variances. Identify anomalies and reporting them to Cash Team Leader, Retail Loss Prevention teams or our Bank as appropriate.
Monitor bank reconciliation and control accounts to ensure unreconciled items are cleared within deadlines.
Provide great customer service to our shop teams with any cash servicing queries.
About you
You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:
You are a strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels
A proven ability to provide excellence in customer service
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Experience in a similar Finance role or in a Retail Operations role would be beneficial but not essential
IT skills including Microsoft 365; SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
