About the role

This is a full-time role, and you’ll work an average of 41 hours a week on a 5 on / 3 off day shift pattern

The base location for this role is Enfield Distribution Centre
What you'll do
This friendly and supportive Site Engineering team is led by the Engineering Manager who will be on hand to guide and advise you through your Engineering career at Greggs.
To safely maintain and improve site facilities, fabric and services, economically by delivering maintenance excellence through planned preventive maintenance, repairs and good record keeping, adopting a proactive approach to site standards.
You will work to safely maintain and improve the performance of production facilities, equipment and services, delivering maintenance excellence in a planned preventive way. You’ll work collaboratively within and across the site teams, including with the Engineering Manager, Team Members and other departments.
About you
You'll fit right in at Greggs as a Facilities Assistant if you can demonstrate:

You’ve got an engineering, trade or facilities background.
- Skilled at a wide range of repairs including trade skills, repair work and maintenance work, both interior and exterior odd jobs is essential
- Qualified to NVQ level 2 in a relevant trade, ie. plumbing, electrical installation, building services is essential
- Have a proactive approach to maintenance work
- Good understanding of Safety Health and Environmental responsibilities
- Willing to undertake further training
- Good communication skills
- Able to meet shift requirements
- Customer focused
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) or similar is desirable
