About the role
This is a full-time role, and you’ll work an average of 42 hours a week on 12-hour shifts on a 4 on, 4 off patterns. Shifts will start from 6am until 6pm and 6pm until 6am
The base location for this role is Derby, DE21 7BS
What you'll do
You will work to safely maintain and improve the performance of facilities, equipment and services on site, delivering excellent standards in a planned preventative way. You’ll work collaboratively both with your engineering colleagues and other site teams.
This friendly and supportive Site Engineering team is led by the Engineering Manager who will be on hand to guide and advise you through your Engineering career at Greggs.
About you
You'll fit right in at Greggs as a Facilities Engineer if you can demonstrate:
- You’ve ideally worked as a Facilities Engineer within the food or FMCG sectors
- You are familiar with building management systems and utilities including Ammonia refrigeration equipment, fire alarm and legionella management and any other SHE responsibilities as site continues to build eg DSEAR
- You’re electrical, plumbing, joinery biased or multi-skilled and at a minimum trained to NVQ level 3
- You’re experienced with Microsoft 365 packages, SAP systems and are familiar with CMMS (or other), Agility experience would be advantageous
- You have external contractor management experience
- You’re comfortable communicating with a wide variety of people, and you have the confidence to respond positively when under pressure
- You can show us that you’re able to comply with Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.
