We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Customer and Marketing team at Greggs as Head of Brand and Communications.
Reporting into the Customer and Marketing Director, this exciting leadership role will oversee a talented team of brand and communications specialists.
You’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering our brand strategy and creative output across all consumer communication channels including our retail shops, PR and brand communications, paid media, CRM, corporate and digital.
As Head of Brand and Communications, you’ll play a pivotal role in growing, protecting, and nurturing the Greggs brand—strengthening our market position while keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do. In return we can offer:

What you'll do
- Grow, protect and nurture the Greggs brand, maintain our No 1 position and extend our lead over our key competitors
- Deliver our key KPIs and front page business plan targets, managing and reporting against a multi-million pound budget
- Lead the strategic, creative and channel strategy for the Greggs brand
- Ensure our ongoing strategy and measurement framework is clearly communicated and socialised across the business
- Responsibility for ongoing development, ensuring the latest creativity, data and technology capabilities are harnessed to maximise both channel and overall performance
- Work closely with Channel Leads, Insight, Finance, and Digital teams to evolve our marketing measurement framework—demonstrating both short- and long-term brand impact across all channels, from sales performance to brand health
- Collaborate with Heads of function to ensure Greggs brand strategy is aligned and deployed across our owned estate, franchise, delivery and wholesale partners
- Provide leadership to continually develop a high-performing team culture – set the strategic and creative standards that the function works to
- Ensure our planned approach consistently embodies Greggs culture, ensuring this is delivered daily in line with our core competency framework
- Champion a customer-first approach, ensure our commercial, retail and menu strategies align to evolving customer needs and business performance
About you
We are looking for highly experienced, talented individuals with drive, who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience working in a similar role – with multi-channel experience and ownership of all key brand metrics
- Proven experience of the development and execution of best in class/award winning brand strategy and creative standards
- Experience of managing multi-million pound marketing budgets across channel with a focus on earned and paid media channels
- Passion and ambition to deliver ground breaking creative campaigns that drive engagement and talkability
- Proven senior leadership skillset, managing and influencing key stakeholders across and throughout a large organisation
- Strategic thinking at both a function and senior business level with a commercial mindset focused on performance and key deliverables
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Computer literate in all Microsoft packages, e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Desirable: Marketing/Creative/Comms related professional qualification
