We have a great opportunity to join the Workload Planning team: The role holder is responsible for managing the day to day running of the company’s workforce planning tools (Blue Yonder and UKG Dimensions), with a focus on accurate forecasts and event planning to ensure that labour is deployed effectively, service levels are met and that wage costs are managed in line with expectations.

About the role
- This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
- The role is based at our Head Office in Newcastle but occasional travel and overnight stays will be required in order to support our shops across the UK
- The role will typically be full time Monday – Friday flexibility is required to ensure we provide a great level of service.
What you'll do
As a Labour Forecast Analyst you'll:
- Utilise the WFM systems to produce accurate sales & labour forecasts
- Utilise the WFM system to provide labour schedules (rotas) for our shop teams which meet labour demand requirements, availability and comply with all working time regulations
- Constantly seek opportunities to improve forecast accuracy and align with other functions (finance / F&R)
- Manage the process for capturing events impacting forecasts at both a local and national level
- Work closely with the F&R team to understand local events and possible impacts at store and business level
- Support all central retail initiatives, ensuring that effective labour planning always underpins retail operations
- Model the impact operational changes will have on labour costs
- Drives adherence to the WFM system across retail teams
- Manage parameters and configuration settings within the system
- Manage MI and reporting requirements for retail and other functional teams
- Test and report on changes to the labour model and impact on labour profiles / hours / wages
- Link in with the Operational Efficiency team to ensure that the labour standards are managed and up to date
About you
You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:
- Great influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- An aptitude for understanding and using IT systems
- An inquisitive mind, always looking to overcome problems and improve the status quo
- Experience of working with WFM systems and / or other forecast and planning tools
- A background in finance or mathematics, with an understanding of forecasting techniques
- An understanding of labour measurement techniques and labour models
- An understanding of retail operations
