We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our Enfield team at Greggs as Supplies People Manager, supporting our manufacturing and logistics functions over two local sites.

Reporting into the Senior Supplies People Manager, this is a fantastic role for someone who wants to make a real impact on the colleague experience at Greggs. You will play a key part in embedding the People strategy and equip leaders to drive performance, engagement and nurture an inclusive, values-led culture.

About the role

  • This is a full-time on-site role, working Monday to Friday. 
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation will be required on occasion to support the needs of the business.
  • The base location for this role is Greggs Enfield, 87 Millmarsh Lane, Enfield, EN3 7XJ

What you'll do

  • Drive and deliver the People strategy and plan across both sites, championing people initiatives to successful implementation.
  • Partner with the site leadership teams to build high-performing teams and drive colleague engagement.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding activities and ensure succession planning is in place to support organisational growth.
  • Manage complex ER casework including disciplinary, grievance and absence cases.
  • Use mediation, facilitation, influencing and coaching skills to support line managers and colleagues with early dispute resolution.
  • Lead the implementation of DE&I and wellbeing initiatives across both sites.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and national initiatives with the wider Supplies People Team.

About you

You will fit right into this role if you:

  • Have demonstrable experience in a HR management role (operational environment preferred).
  • Have a good knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Have a track record of building credible relationships with business stakeholders including operational colleagues and Trade Union representatives.
  • Are an effective communicator, decision-maker and influencer, across all levels.
  • Are self-motivated and able to plan and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Enjoy being part of a dedicated team, sharing the same end goal, and celebrating results together.
  • Are supportive of an inclusive culture, recognising and valuing that difference is good.
  • CIPD is a bonus, but not essential - your passion and experience matter most.
