We have an exciting opportunity to join the Planning and Performance Team at Greggs as a Performance Marketing Support Manager.

This is a new and unique role, offering the opportunity to contribute to our performance marketing strategy in both established channels within the business, and across new channels as we build out our performance strategy. You will proactively support in the delivery of our performance marketing activity across a range of platforms, both directly in platform and working alongside our agency partners. This will include day-to-day management of performance marketing activity, ensuring optimum performance, making recommendations for improvement where relevant, and testing and learning in our media delivery.

Working with the Performance Manager – Digital Media, you will be a key member of our newly established team which is responsible for developing and executing media plans to support brand and commercial growth. You will be experienced in digital media delivery, with the ability to inform best practice and ensure it is communicated and adhered to across all performance marketing activity.

The successful candidate will use their knowledge of performance marketing platforms to facilitate how we deliver and measure campaigns, while understanding and executing optimisation tactics throughout. You will be experienced in analysing the performance of campaigns and media, and will support in the evaluation and measurement of our delivery against brand and commercial metrics.

You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills in digital media and performance marketing channels, whilst also gaining experience in new emerging platforms. You will be working with teams across the Customer function and the wider business in order to facilitate growth, working with and influencing internal teams to evolve our understanding and use of performance marketing.

In order to maximise this opportunity, you will be someone who is able to balance between hands-on implementation and management of external agencies to deliver results. You will be confident interrogating information leading to an understanding of behaviour at a customer level and across channels, using this to inform decision making as well as clearly summarising this to create a performance narrative for others.

About the role

  • This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
  • We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
  • The base location for this role is Greggs House, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8B and ideally, you’ll live within one hour travel of this area

What you'll do

 

As Performance Marketing Support Manager you'll:

  • Manage the accurate delivery of paid media in Apple Search Ads, Google Ads, Meta, X, and various other digital media platforms
  • Monitor the day-to-day changes and trends in performance marketing metrics including, but not limited to, CPCs, CPAs, and CPMs
  • Support with the provision of clear and regular reports and updates to all relevant internal stakeholders on the delivery of our performance marketing across all platforms to understand the impact of our activity
  • Support in the management and tracking of POs and media plans
  • Work closely with our media agencies, 3rd party partners, and relevant internal teams to manage the delivery of performance marketing activity across owned and third-party platforms, ensuring campaigns adhere to channel-specific best practice and achieve optimum results
  • Work cross-functionally to align our always on and campaign-specific performance marketing activity to drive key focus areas for the business
  • Establish and deliver best-practice performance marketing activity and aligning this with wider messaging by maintaining a clear visual representation of what messages are in market, where and when against business strategy
  • Extract maximum value from all available analytics tools to implement and advise wider teams on actionable insights to improve performance results
  • Execute A/B and optimisation tests across performance marketing media where relevant, feeding back results to relevant internal stakeholders to fuel future activity planning

About you

You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:

  • Digital media delivery and planning experience with knowledge across multiple channels
  • Experience building and optimising campaigns across a range of channels
  • Agency management desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort and competence in analysing and understanding data and marketing performance
  • Organisation with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • The ability to collaborate and influence at all levels, supporting teams and working cross functionally
  • Familiarity with analytical tools and mobile measurement platforms preferrable
  • Relevant certifications such as Google Ads and Meta Blueprint desired
