About the role

  • This is a temporary role until circa September 2026
  • We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
  • The base location for this role is Q9, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8BU, Ideally, you’ll live within one hour travel of this area

What you'll do

  • Develop and apply a deep knowledge of our Manufacturing sites and Logistics network, including constraints, capacities and potential outputs.
  • Use the demand forecast to create a supply plan, balancing constraints and inventory levels to ensure availability of product to our shops and stability within our supply chain.
  • Work on both a 12 week and 18 month horizon, planning supply for promotional campaigns, seasonal demand and planned events, whilst also responding to day to day challenges.
  • Ensuring that inventory levels within the overall supply chain are balanced and maintained against agreed stock holding targets to ensure availability to pick, whilst minimising exposure to financial risk due to stock obsolescence or product going beyond agreed shelf life requirements.
  • Investigate variances and review parameters to ensure accuracy of plans, risks and stocks.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to create/find potential solutions to constraints and challenges to ensure supply.
  • Lead weekly meetings with Manufacturing teams and other stake holders to ensure plans remain valid and achievable, identifying potential risks.  Preparing reports and further information to support the effectiveness of these meetings
  • Undertake periodic project work and analysis to support continuous improvement and the current business changes and growth.
  • Maintaining and improving ongoing processes within SAP to support improvements in the Supply Chain planning function

About you

You will fit right into this role if you:

  • Are a strong team player, able to build good working relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills are essential in this role, most notably an ability to work effectively with Excel.  A knowledge of SAP would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Have proven high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
  • Can multi-task and work with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescales
  • Are results focused with strong planning, prioritising and organisation skills, with an ability to analyse, problem solve and implement workable solutions
  • Have some knowledge and experience in a Production / Logistics role
  • Have a valid driving licence
