We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join the Greggs Balliol Manufacturing & Logistics teams as a Supply People Manager leading on all people initiatives.  We're looking for someone who is up for a challenge and who really wants to make their mark!

About the role

  • This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
  • We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
  • The base location for this role is Balliol Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE12 8EW

What you'll do

  • Develop strong relationships with the site leadership teams, working collaboratively to influence and challenge ways of working
  • Deliver our people plan and objectives across the site
  • Focus on the importance of people by providing professional expertise, support and advice to managers and colleagues, encouraging fair, impartial and consistent employee relations
  • Manage complex ER issues and share best practice amongst your Supply People colleagues
  • Develop employee engagement across the site, encouraging activities to drive improvement
  • Participate in working groups to develop and improve people policies and procedures
  • Drive effective labour planning, succession planning and performance management activities to meet the current and future needs of the site
  • Coach and develop high performing management teams to ensure a great environment for our colleagues.
  • Ensure the effective management of all employee absence and wellbeing policies and initiatives
  • Deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

About you

You will fit right into this role if you:

  • Have demonstrable experience in a similar HR management role, preferably in an operational environment

  • Have a track record of forming and strengthening trusted relationships with business stakeholders

  • Have excellent written & verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and present ideas and opportunities

  • Can demonstrate excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail

  • Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative

  • Can multi-task and work with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescales

  • Have excellent IT skills including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams

  • Enjoy being part of a hard-working team, sharing the same end goal, and celebrating results together
