Transport Safety and Training Analyst

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Transport team at Greggs. This is a new role in which you will collect and produce performance data analysis. You will work closely with transport safety, training and logistics colleagues.

About the role

  • Management Grade A
  • This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
  • We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
  • The base location for this role is Great Britain. The role is hybrid/remote working with frequent UK travel as your direct reports are field based. Regular travel to the Head Office in Newcastle  is also required. 

What you'll do

  • Develop implement and maintain a suite of reports using Excel and or power BI to measure logistics, road safety and training performance.
  • Retrieve data and cleanse where necessary to ensure accurate data is produced.
  • Ensure timely production of reports to deadlines.
  • Ability to identify areas of concern regarding data quality, accuracy or compliance.
  • Act as the administrative link for driver training whilst taking responsibility for tracking compliance, safety and training performance.
  • Attend and or contribute to cross site meetings with requirement to present report findings and or outcomes.
  • Liaise and support Transport safety and training manager and Driver Training leads in providing accurate data.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure agreed processes and procedures are embedded.
  • Actively contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives as part of the Greggs ethos to always strive for excellence.
  • Demonstrate commitment to self-development, undertaking professional development training as required.

About you

You will fit right into this role if you:

  • Can demonstrate advanced Excel skills and / or power BI and the ability to work with large data sets
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, Power Point, Word, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Are a strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels
  • Can demonstrate a proven ability to provide excellence in delivering reports to tight deadlines
  • Understanding of data security and the implications of GDPR
  • Have proven high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Have experience of, and the ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities calmly and at pace
  • Are results focused with strong planning, prioritising and organisation skills
  • Can multi-task and work with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescales
  • Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience of analysing and presenting information
  • A good communicator, able to operate at all levels clearly and concisely with the proven ability to communicate complex data
