We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Digital team at Greggs as a Digital Growth Manager to support the delivery of a wide variety of cross-functional growth initiatives for Greggs.
The Digital Growth Manager will play the pivotal role in ensuring we deliver a complex set of digital projects and growth initiatives all designed to increase their awareness, usage and achievement of our digital business objectives. You will work collaboratively with colleagues from across the business to ensure we are maximising engagement, our reputation, revenue and new customer acquisition opportunities online and in-shop – either by owning them on an ongoing basis, or by delivering and transitioning them into ‘business-as-usual’ for other Greggs teams once fully established.
As a senior member of the Greggs Digital team you will also proactively support the other digital team leads to ensure we drive significant ROI from our digital products and channels and make sure we are focused on continually growing the data we have on our customer base, as well as extending our reach too new audiences

About the role
- This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
- We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
- Our working hours are usually Monday-Friday, you may be required to work alternative hours to fulfil business needs and work in multiple team and agency locations across a working week.
- The base location for this role is Newcastle Upon Tyne
What you'll do

Own and drive delivery of a new Growth roadmap of projects and initiatives designed to drive new customer acquisition, support revenue growth and visibility of our digital products and propositions.

Act as a key interface into a variety of internal and external stakeholders including the Greggs Digital team, IT/Technology, Customer, Business Leads and third-party partner agencies to ensure our Growth strategy is effectively implemented.
- Act as the lead on various digital projects and initiatives, acting as the key ‘link’ between multiple teams in order to support our customers and commercial business objectives both online and in-shop
- Lead in developing Greggs’ Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and App Store Optimisation (ASO) strategy to ensure our information is easily findable, accurate and enhances our brand reputation at all times.
- Manage a variety of ad-hoc and ongoing initiatives until they can be transitioned into ‘BAU’ to ensure Greggs’ overall key digital business objectives are achieved.
- Drive implementation of new innovations and initiatives that underpin achievement of our overall CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) strategy, ensuring all teams involved are supported to deliver what is required.
- Work with a variety of teams to ensure we are continually addressing gaps in our available Digital/Customer data and insight.
- Ensure Greggs is proactively leveraging digital growth opportunities from digital partnerships, key 3rd party technology partners and learning from industry best practice to drive new customer acquisition and innovation.
About you
We are looking for highly experienced, talented individuals with drive, who can demonstrate:
- Strong general digital marketing background and experience of working in a mid-senior digitally focused role.
- A self-starter with passion for Digital and delighting customers using best in class digital experience.
- Experience in delivering Growth projects and new digital initiatives in a large company.
- High degree of awareness of the latest in eCommerce, CRO, SEO and ASO best practice.
- Comfortable working with initiatives that have ambiguity between roles and responsibility areas.
- Able to get momentum behind new initiatives with limited briefing.
- Highly collaborative working style and a naturally cross-functional approach.
- Able to demonstrate exceptionally strong commercial, organisational, planning and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and an engaging presentation style.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
- Strong project management and budget management skills
- Good technical understanding across digital channels and platforms
- Thrive working within a dynamic environment and are adept at adapting when priorities change.
- A highly analytical data-led mindset that is comfortable working with different types of data.
- Ideally experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
- Ideally experience of working in a similar role in a consumer-facing digital product team, ideally within a major retailer or consumer facing FMCG business.
