About the role
- This is a full-time role (39 hours per week) Mon- Fri with 1 in 12 weekends being worked
- This is a temporary role for 15 months

- The base location for this role is Kettering.
What you'll do
As a Distribution Requirement Planner, you’ll be responsible for raising purchase orders against suppliers & ensuring sufficient inventory is in place at our radial depots to meet the demand of our shops and customers.
Details of role include:
- Act as a key and effective member of the Supply Chain and Distribution team
- Monitoring and managing stock levels in our depots, following agreed inventory targets for each product
- Work with external suppliers to ensure availability of products in our national depots by raising purchase orders relevant to the demand of the business
- Responsible for managing and tracking these purchase orders from creation to delivery, ensuring timely processing while responding to changes in demand and supplier updates
- Manage stock at radial depots ensuring that the right product is in the right place at the right time for onward supply to shops
- Identifying possible stock risks (such as excess or low inventory) and raising them with the relevant teams
- Maintain KPI targets based upon availability percentage and waste costs
- Responsibility for ensuring accurate information of inventory levels and availability is communicated to supply sites and wider business
- Liaising with site teams to ensure operations run smoothly, promoting effective working relationships
About you
You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:
- You are a strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels
- A proven ability to provide excellence in supply chain planning and stock inventory management
- Industry experience within an FMCG organisation highly advantageous
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong resilience and flexibility, successfully adapting to shifting priorities and business change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong adaptability and resilience when navigating changing processes, ongoing training, and working across multiple systems
- Strong numerical, analytical and planning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- IT skills including Microsoft 365; SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Experience of working with SAP ECC, S4 HANA, IBP, or other MRP planning software desirable (not essential)
- You are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
