We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Central Engineering Team, where you will lead and deliver supply chain capital engineering projects across the Greggs estate

About the role

  • This is a full-time, onsite, role
  • We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
  • The base location for this role is Newcastle upon Tyne NE12 8EW

What you'll do

  • Management and execution of supply chain capital engineering projects across the Greggs estate
  • Feasibility studies and capex development
  • Development of Equipment specifications and URS documentation
  • Management of Building and construction activities associated with capital projects
  • Execution and implementation of  equipment installations and utilities
  • Development of Greggs internal building and technical standards
  • Cross functional working on energy and sustainability projects
  • Provide knowledge, support and expertise to the wider engineering functions across the Greggs estate.

About you

You will fit right into this role if you:

  • Demonstratable experience in delivery of major capital projects in excess of £10m within the food manufacturing and distribution sectors with working  knowledge of JCT/MF1contracts
  • Solid engineering experience in utilities, food manufacturing and leadership of multifunctional teams
  • Have strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, working in large cross functional groups
  • Are supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing that difference is good
  • Demonstrable communication and influencing skills with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Highly numerate with strong focus on statistical analysis with excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Have advanced IT skills including AutoCAD, Navisworks,Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Proven commercial acumen with accountability for achieving and excelling company targets
  • Proven ability to use initiative and set direction
