We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Finance team at Greggs as the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, where you will be involved in our dynamic rolling forecast process as we progress with our ambitious business expansion plans. You will also work with our teams utilising BI systems for reporting & analysis.

About the role
- This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
- We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
- The base location for this role is Greggs House, Longbenton, Newcastle
What you'll do
- Own & develop our dynamic rolling forecast model, utilising source data (financial & non-financial) and relevant cost drivers. Look for opportunities to continually improve our process.
- Coordinate the month-end close process, liaising with central accounting & finance business partnering teams, to ensure we have a robust profit figure with explainable variances.
- Run the monthly forecast process to update to our latest view.
- Produce monthly reporting covering to support a wide range of stakeholders ensuring information is accurate and can be relied upon. Providing analysis to add insight to financial performance and understand cost behaviour.
- Oversee the production of weekly reporting and KPI’s
- Work with our BI & Finance teams to ensure that the structure of our BI data allows for reporting in the most efficient way for different views of the data.
- Own the hierarchies and data structures in our ERP system to ensure that our financial reporting is robust and can meet multiple needs.
- Provide insightful analytical support on a range of ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
- Analyse key trends, highlighting opportunities for improvement.
- Direct line management and development of the Finance Analyst within the team.
About you
You will fit right into this role if you:
- Are qualified finance professional (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with 3+ years PQE.
- Well organised with a structured methodical approach.
- Have Advanced Excel skills.
- Are experienced in financial modelling
- Have good knowledge of business intelligence software (ideally Power BI)
- Have experience of manufacturing, distribution or retail an advantage.
- Having knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
- Are analytical and inquisitive in nature with a high level of numeracy and attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Have the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Are a good communicator with the ability to develop strong working relationships.
- Have a sound level of commercial awareness.
