We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Goods Not For Resale Procurement team at Greggs.
The GNFR Procurement team are responsible for the sourcing of £180 million of goods and services for our, circa, 2600 shops, 13 Manufacturing & Logistics sites and Head Office.
The responsibility of the team stretches from Capital to Utilities, Shopfitting, Waste, Uniforms, IT hardware and software, marketing spend and lots more.

About the role
- This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) however flexibility in this will be considered
- We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
- The base location for this role is Newcastle Upon Tyne. Ideally, you'll live within one hour travel of this location.
What you'll do
As Purchasing Analyst you’ll:
- Communicate with both internal customers & suppliers.
- Co-ordinate Shop Fit suppliers across all category areas including Equipment, IT & Utilities including the expediting of orders and issue resolution.
- Control stock including ordering stock, inventory control, stock adjustments and data analysis.
- Give great customer service – order confirmation, order enquiries and warehouse management.
- Carry out forward ordering and forecasting for shop fit demand.
- Maintain Supplier relationships and remain central point for all issues relating to shop fit non-conformance.
- Assist with day-to-day Procurement administration and provide support to Purchasing Managers through working closely with both internal colleagues and Suppliers.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of Purchase Orders and resolution of Invoice queries.
- Assist the team with cross department initiatives such as contract maintenance, article creation and the listing of new products that we inventory manage
- Support any other ad-hoc/ operational duties as and when required.
About you

Strong skills in planning, prioritising, and organising
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
IT skills including Microsoft 365; SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams. SAP experience preferable but not essential
Strong numerical and analytical skills
