We have a great opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our growing Business Change team here at Greggs House- Innovate, Newcastle on a fixed term basis.

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to dive into all facets of Greggs and play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our Next Generation SAP Programme in the role of Implementation Manager. You will become part of a fast-growing, progressive working environment as we continue to grow our business. As a member of the Business Change Team, you’ll be required to both support project delivery and also contribute to and help lead the team’s own internal continuous improvement strategy.

About the role
- This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

What you'll do
Reporting to the Business Change Manager, the primary responsibility of this role will be planning and delivering agreed changes to the business safely and within agreed constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the IT&BC Project Management team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement and taking on the line management responsibility of that team.
- Spearhead the adoption and integration of PMP methodology into the teams way of working.
- Manage and deliver complex, high-impact projects from initiation through to closure, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks to ensure consistent project execution.
- Monitor and report on project performance, risks, and issues, providing strategic recommendations and insight.
- Drive resource planning and allocation across the PM team to optimise delivery capacity.
- Champion change management and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices - seeking to fill any gaps that are found.
- Contribute to strategic planning and portfolio management within the IT&BC function including collaborating on and developing the departments strategic plan.
About you
You will already have experience of leading project teams and will show the aptitude to develop an internal network at Greggs however, to be really successful in this role, we’re looking for candidates who are:

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Have achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification
- Experience of successfully delivering business and technology change using practical examples to describe challenges and successes.
- Experience of delivering IT projects using practical examples to describe challenges and successes.
- Experience of working in agile, product backlog environments and traditional project delivery methodologies and ability to demonstrate an understanding of the differences and pros and cons of these approaches.
- Experience of working in dynamic business environments, and managing delivery of multiple initiatives.
- Experience of building and leading a team of change professionals with direct line management responsibility
- Excellent communication, presentational, written and organisational skills.
- The ability to think logically, overcome problems and interpret and present key statistical data in a way that can be understood by different stakeholder groups.
- The ability to self-starter with a proactive approach to daily tasks, overcoming problems and maintaining momentum.
- Digital literacy, being proficient in standard office tools used in change management (e.g. Project, Monday.com, Excel, Word, Visio, PPT) and more creative use of other tools/technology to help communicate or facilitate.
Are a leader with a proven track record in people management and people development
Have experience of influencing cross functionally and to Director Level
Can demonstrate commerciality
Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative

The successful candidate may be able to demonstrate:
- Delivery of large scale Enterprise projects (such as ERP).
- Experience of working on a large scale IT implementations.
- Experience of working in or knowledge of food-to-go or similar retail business environment.
