We have a fantastic opportunity to join the SHE team at Greggs as a Regional SHE Manager based at our new Derby site. 

In this role, you'll lead the charge in developing innovative, user-friendly processes that prioritise safety and efficiency. You'll drive continuous improvement, foster a positive SHE culture, and make a real impact by partnering with site teams and senior management.

About the role

  • This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
  • We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
  • The base location for this role is Derby

What you'll do

  • Oversee SHE Management across our new Derby manufacturing and logistics site whilst supporting the development of our new Kettering site
  • Work closely with the SHE Management team to continuously improve our SHE Management System, bringing your expertise to the table
  • Use your hands-on experience to develop user-friendly processes that prioritise safety and efficiency
  • Ensure thorough investigations of incidents and accidents, implementing effective remedial actions promptly
  • Set and support objectives aimed at enhancing SHE standards across all sites
  • Develop and execute site-specific implementation plans, working hand-in-hand with site management teams
  • Track and analyse performance against targets, driving continuous improvement
  • Lead the charge in fostering a positive SHE culture, encouraging individual responsibility at all levels
  • Utilise management information and data to drive site-level improvements
  • Represent the SHE team in senior site management meetings, advocating for SHE priorities
  • Partner with other site teams to promote a positive SHE culture

About you

You will fit right into this role if you:

  • Have Chartered membership of IOSH

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication abilities

  • Are innovative and adept at overcoming obstacles

  • Willing to travel to multiple site locations and work flexible hours as needed

  • Hold a valid driving licence

  • Can multi-task and work with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescales

  • Have advanced IT skills including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams

  • Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative

  • Enjoy being part of a hard-working team, sharing the same end goal, and celebrating results together

  • Are supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing that difference is good

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in Environmental Management.
  • Familiarity with management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Qualifications in Fire Risk Assessment.
  • Background in manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics operations.
