We have a fantastic opportunity to join the ERP Engineering team at Greggs as an Senior SAP Software Developer to support Greggs in transforming the way we build SAP solutions and integrate SAP into other business systems and processes.

About the role

  • This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

About you

You will fit right into this role if you are:

  • Passionate about writing clean, testable and maintainable code
  • A strong technical knowledge and practical experience of ABAP including procedural and object development as well as Data Dictionary.
  • A knowledge of ALV Reporting, User Exits and BADIs.
  • A knowledgeable and practical approach to application design and development.
  • An understanding of performance, scalability and extensibility in system development and approaches for high volume transactional solutions.
  • An ability to carry out problem solving including root cause analysis, communicate the problem and work to identify fixes or improvements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and inter-personal skills.
  • Knowledge of a range of SAP modules is an advantage and familiarity with the Retail industry a benefit.

It would be advantageous if you had knowledge OR experience of the following:

  • Experience of working in an agile environment.
  • Have experience of using SAP BTP using CI/CD pipelines including integration, functional and end-to-end testing.
  • SAP BTP.
  • SAP Forms (adobe and smartforms).
  • Technical knowledge in Restful ABAP development.
  • CDS views.
  • API implementation as well as SAP Gateway.
  • SAP UI5 background or ability to adapt.
