We are excited to be recruiting for a Shop Designer to join our Shop Development Team here at Greggs.  You will join us on a 14 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Due to the nature of our business we are flexible on the location of this role, therefore we welcome applicants from across the UK.

About the role

  • This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

What you'll do

  • As Shop Designer, you will:

  • Have a strong brand mindset, and execute store designs that are relevant, elevate and project the brand.
  • Develop unique design solutions in response to a brand design direction.
  • Have a creative and positive outlook, along with a winning attitude to problem solving.
  • In partnership with your Design Manager own the design of each project from concept to design development.
  • Produce block plans and detailed drawings for each project.
  • Prepare drawings packs for submission for all relevant statutory approvals.
  • Prioritize your work, in order to execute multiple projects at one time, including the management of the production of design documents and working with external consultants.
  • Have good communication skills and be able to liaise with colleagues within the business along with external consultants, authorities, contractors and suppliers.

About you

You will fit right into this role if you have/are:

  • Interior and architectural design experience preferable in retail, hospitality or restaurant design
  • Experience in creating design solutions for a range of projects, types and sizes.
  • Understanding of architectural drawings, details and specifications.
  • Degree or diploma in a design discipline from a recognized educational institution.
  • Fully proficient in 2D AUTOCAD.
  • Knowledge of other drafting tools such as BIM (Revit).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel.
