We have a fantastic opportunity to join the SAP Technical team at Greggs as a Trainee SAP Security Analyst and really help to contribute toward the provisioning and ongoing support of enterprise SAP environments.
You will be joining the team at a time of transformation when the business will migrate from current to future-state cloud SAP systems, making this the ideal opportunity to learn and develop your skill set on the environments you will be supporting as they are being developed.
The base location for this role is our Head Office in Newcastle Upon Tyne, although there will be some flexibility to work from home.

About the role

Management Grade A

This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

The base location for this role is Greggs House, Newcastle upon Tyne although there will be some opportunity to work from home

Core hours are office hours Monday to Friday. We also operate a rota to cover out of hours support for major incidents, later inclusion into this would be dependent upon capability

What training will I receive?
A blended approach of day to day shadowing with Security consultants and classroom-based theoretical training will develop your skills required as a Security Analyst.
Working alongside our existing Security team will offer real-world insights into the SAP Security role, helping you apply your theoretical learnings to practical workplace scenarios. They will also assist you in navigating the company's culture, building strong relationships with colleagues, and adapting to the professional work environment.
Previous IT administration or SAP experience would be a bonus though not essential.
What you'll do
As a SAP SecurityTrainee you'll develop your core skills into that of an Analyst:

Support user account setup and maintenance, role development, authorization management across multiple SAP landscapes and instances that comprise the SAP environment (Development, QA and Production)

Design, build and implement and support SAP security roles, profiles and authorizations to SAP ABAP Business Suite applications, BTP, HANA, and others
-
Support the management of SAP user identity lifecycle management (starters, transfer and leavers) via SAP Identity Management
-
Develop and manage role based access controls across SAP applications to streamline provisioning and deprovisioning of access
-
User account troubleshooting and problem solving (authorisation tracing, user role checks, etc.)
-
Understand the core authentication methods into SAP applications, SAP SSO in line with business corporate identity provider goals
-
Introduce role and user changes into the SAP environment working directly with the business, following defined processes that minimizes risk and provides a quality end user experience
-
Communicating business change requests and managing the delivery of these, from documentation through to assisting in the coordination of the associated core team activities

Develop and maintain creation, of all SAP Security related documentation, guides and processes
-
Monitoring of SAP system applications in a user auditing capacity, understanding the criteria involved and highlighting issues as necessary

Participate in the planning and implementation of SAP system upgrades
-
Support the integrity of the SAP environment by managing SAP transports to ensure all configuration and development objects are promoted properly
