We have a fantastic opportunity to join the IT team at Greggs as Head of IT Enterprise Services.
This role will lead our experienced and capable SAP Technical and Functional Delivery teams, as well as the current SAP Programme Delivery Teams.
Reporting into the IT & Business Change Director, as one of four key roles, they will be accountable for the delivery of the upgrade of our current SAP solution to SAP S4 on time and budget. Ongoing they will be responsible for our Enterprise Services landscape which manages and maintains key solutions to c33,000 colleagues supporting Retail, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Greggs House central core functions. About the role
- This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
- We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
- The base location for this role is Greggs House, Newcastle Upon Tyne
- Ideally based in the North East or be prepared to stay in Newcastle 3 nights per week
What you'll do
The Head of IT Enterprise Services is responsible for leading and managing the core IT Enterprise Services team to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services as part of the IT&BC leadership team.
The role will oversee our key strategic solutions that revolve around our enterprise SAP solution. An initial key priority will be the delivery of the upgrade to SAP S4 to desired quality, timings and budget. Beyond that, the role entails strategic planning and overseeing the ongoing support and maintenance of our enterprise IT systems and services that ensure the smooth running of core parts of our business on a daily basis.
The other three roles in the leadership team are Head of Tech Engineering, Head of Tech Business Services, Head of Data & AI.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technology professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT & BC department.
- Collaborate with senior business stakeholder to align IT strategies with business goals.
- Align with the IT&BC senior leadership on business priorities
- Ensure departmental budgets are managed effectively
· Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement IT strategies and roadmaps to support the organization’s objectives.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance business operations.
- Manage the IT budget and ensure cost-effective solutions.
· Service Delivery:
- Oversee the delivery of core IT services, including infrastructure, applications, and support.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of core IT systems.
- Align with key business stakeholders on relevant SLAs.
- Ensure teams develop and manage customer focussed services in line with Greggs IT service management principles and processes.
- Own the relationship with key strategic partners
· Project/Programme Management:
- Own the delivery of key IT projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, quality and within budget.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
· Compliance and Security:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
About you
We are looking for highly experienced, talented individuals with drive, who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role with a background of large scale enterprise solutions delivery/management.
- A background knowledge of Supply Chain/Manufacturing a distinct advantage
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and service management.
- Knowledge of security best practices.
