We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Business Analysis team at Greggs as a Senior Business Analyst to cover Maternity Leave. You will join our IT & Business Change team at Greggs House Innovate. Reporting in to our Business Analysis Manager, the role will be responsible for undertaking business analysis across a range of business areas and opportunities.

About the role

  • This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
  • The role will be fixed term for 12-18 months
  • We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
  • The base location for this role is Greggs Innovate House, Balliol Business Park, Benton Lane, Newcastle NE12 8EW

What you'll do

  • Bring visibility and rationale to business improvement opportunities and demonstrate measurable benefits upon which decisions can be made through documentation of as-is processes, to-be designs and gap analysis.
  • Undertake the work necessary to elicit, challenge and document business and system requirements and evaluate supporting information systems
  • Define, Measure and Analyse opportunities to feed into business cases taking account of business-as-usual costs as well as costs of implementation of any Improvements, ensuring benefit realisation monitoring and Control is built into proposals (DMAIC)
  • Facilitate workshops across stakeholder groups to capture and challenge business requirements and / or gain buy-in to changes
  • Prepare programme and project reporting and documentation as appropriate
  • Actively contribute to the continuing improvement of the methods and techniques used in business process improvement and helping to coach, train and develop more junior business analysts in the use of these methods and techniques
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis to ensure a strong system fit against requirements

  • Have a track record of forming and strengthening trusted relationships with business stakeholders

  • Have excellent written & verbal communication skills and the ability to present ideas and opportunities (including using known presentational tools)

  • Can demonstrate excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail

  • Have the proven ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively

  • Have experience of influencing cross functionally and to Director Level

  • Have advanced IT skills including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams

  • Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
